1. What is the Partnership for America?

The Partnership for America is a non-profit organization formed by a broad-based alliance of industry, small business, agriculture, property rights advocates, conservation advocates, education proponents, consumers, multiple use proponents, economic development officials, recreation advocates and grassroots groups across the nation. The members of the Partnership support public policies that seek to restore a common sense, balanced approach to economic growth and environmental conservation in the West.

2. Why did the Partnership form?

Members of the Partnership formed this alliance because they want to give the vast majority of the citizens of the West an easy way to get involved in the development of public policy and to actively support laws and regulations that promote economic growth, job creation, increased prosperity, greater access to public lands, and less government regulation.

The Partnership includes more than 600 companies, associations, coalitions and individuals who collectively employ or represent more than one million people across America.

The Partnership is governed by a Board of Trustees comprised of representatives from a more than 20 different sectors.  One individual serves on the Board from each of the following sectors:  agriculture, coal, timber/wood products, small businesses, land & water conservation, investor-owned utilities, public utilities, natural gas utilities, hard rock mining, oil & gas, transportation/construction, manufacturing, property rights advocates, financial services, recreational access advocates, state and local elected officials, grassroots advocates, economic development officials, sportsmen/hunting, labor unions, and multiple use advocates.

The Partnership is financed entirely by contributions from its members and supporters.
